Welcome To The Cattery Page
Because we own a stud cat who will spray once he is a little older it was decided that he would need a stud house in the garden. We also thought it would be great for the girls to spend some of their time outside, especially on sunny days.
Space, comfort and things to keep our boy happy were foremost in our minds once the area of the garden was allotted. The clearing and wall building turned into a huge job and once started things quickly grew and grew! Here is a picture story of the building:
The Building Work:
This
is the area of the garden chosen before any of the work was started.
A
lot of clearing work was needed before any building work could be started.
Finally
the walls started getting built.
At
last the area was ready for the cat chalets, you can see the electricity cable
we set underground is ready.
We
may have gone a little too high but had to be sure the Beagles could not get
over it lol.
104
large pieces of cat housing arrived, it all needed 2 coats of stain and
preservative - now that was a mammoth job!!
3
done, 1 to go, it was so much larger than anticipated.
All
4 chalets up and we are delighted with how it looks.
A qualified electrician installed a new junction box with trip switches, smoke alarm in each chalet. Waterproof safety sockets in each house and lighting. The cattery is fully alarmed and we have a fire extinguisher to hand.

Hey
dad, they must be really badly behaved to be in there!!!
